well, i’m officially in my LATE 20′s. ugh. sounds gross, but i’m actually 10 times more awesome than i was 10 years ago so i’m totally down with being 28. why is 28 so much better than 18? well, i know myself a HECK of a lot better than i thought i did back then. i was so quick to judge, would lose my cool over the smallest things, and was a huge ass know it all. ok, i’m still a know it all >.< this year i chose to celebrate my birthday with some of the finest ladies & gentlemen i know the best way i know how: KARAOKE!!

we went to the Fox & Fiddle on a Saturday night, sounded like fun. we made a 9pm reso for karaoke, which started at 10pm. ok, the dj’s INTRO music started at 10. the show started at like 1040pm. he was soooo in to himself it wasn’t even funny. like i am all for pumping up the crowd, but puh-leeze, 40 minutes of your iTunes megamix is like, ridiculously boring. plus, he was a total prick. he picked on my group the whole time. from our song choices to our outfits to our dancing to actually making comments on the assumed sexuality of my friends. ridic. i get why he was mean to us; the last time he saw a group of girls this pretty was in high school, as our boyfriends were beating him up. whatever. his lameness was not about to ruin our fun.

we heard some beautiful renditions of Gloria Gaynor, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, NKOTB, Garth Brooks & more! usually i sing my karaoke go-to: Alanis Morrisette “you outta know”, but since it was my bday i wanted to rock something a lil more light hearted. here is the video of me & my stunning back up dancer Lexi K-I-L-L-I-N-G  I-T! **disclaimer**  i am not a good singer. this is for FUN, so please keep the haterade to yourself. xo
